In Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing tourism and attracting investments in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted Ujjain's renowned Vedic clock, a globally recognized timekeeping marvel, and described Bhopal as a vibrant tourism hub. The state is actively tapping into its tourism potential, the CM shared with attendees at the 39th annual conference of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). Yadav also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showcasing India's significance by journeying from Poland to Ukraine via train.Present at the event was the unveiling of the IATO manual and the screening of a documentary celebrating the association. The late M L Rajdan from Rajdan Holidays was posthumously conferred with the Hall of Fame Award, which Anita Rajdan, his daughter-in-law, accepted graciously. Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of Indian Hotel Company Limited, was also recognized with the Hall of Fame accolade during the ceremony.Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla expressed optimism that the IATO Madhya Pradesh Convention would raise the bar for future events. He encouraged delegates to immerse themselves in the state's historical sites, rich culture, and natural beauty. Shukla urged them to promote Madhya Pradesh as a top tourist destination for both local and international travelers.Further enhancing the event was a cultural showcase titled "Enchanting Madhya Pradesh: The heartland of India," put together by the Madhya Pradesh Government's Culture Department and directed by Maitreyi Pahar.The presentation highlighted the state's rich history and beautiful natural surroundings with a 40-minute dance performance featuring 53 talented artists. Kailash Sisodia and his group from Dhar mesmerized the audience of tour operators from all over the country with their traditional Bhagoria dance of the Bhil tribe.
